Chris Brown Plays It Cool On Baby Mama's Bikini Shot

Gambar
Chris Brown isn't one to hold back when he's feeling randy. This is a man who has openly chased Rihanna and Karruche Tran for years, despite them moving on with other men. When his baby mama Ammika Harris shared a new photo of herself flaunting her flat stomach just five months after giving birth, he got in his feelings but he decided to play it cool, so as to not appear too thirsty. Ammika posted a picture of herself in a bikini, looking stunningly gorgeous and earning over 82,000 double-taps on Instagram. One of the people who took a liking to the shot was Chris Brown, the father of her son Aeko.  Normally, Brown would come through with a dozen heart-face emojis and maybe a drooling face for good measure. This time around though, he was subdued in his response. "Cold," he wrote next to a frozen face emoji. Later on, he added a singular emoji wearing sunglasses. Chris Brown is celebrating his birthday next week, on which he will release a new collaborative mixtape wi...

‘One mean-looking baby’ — Long before he shined for BYU freshman Cutter Clawson appeared in a full-length Hollywood movie

Gambar
PROVO — Tell us something interesting about yourself. That's a command almost everyone has heard at one time or another, mostly on the first day of a class or the first day on a job. For Cutter Clawson, a freshman pitcher and designated hitter on the BYU baseball team that had its season canceled last month after 16 games, a reply is quite easy — even if he doesn't remember it. Clawson played a leading role, of sorts, in the 2003 movie "Dry Cycle," a full-length romantic comedy about a gun-toting mother trying to flee with her baby from a determined bounty hunter. The box office disaster can be found on YouTube or Amazon Prime Video. He was "baby Lloyd," a toddler that several other characters in the box-office disaster called "one mean-looking baby" and other not-so-nice names. "I don't remember anything about it," said Clawson, who grew up in Laguna Beach, California, 60 miles down I-405 from Hollywood. "I know t...

Parenting during the pandemic has introduced new challenges for everyone — but especially for those who are trying to work from home alongside their kids. But there is a subset of these parents who are not checking in on worksheet sessions or even (supposed to be) turning on yet another episode of "Paw Patrol": those with kids under age 2. "It's hard," says Emily Spain, who is chief of staff for Sen. Thomas Carper, D-Del., and has a 2-year-old and a 5-year-old at home. "It's unlike any challenge I've ever experienced in my life." Her husband owns a public affairs consulting business, so they have both been "working around-the-clock and adjusting to the new 'abnormal,...

UK ‘miracle baby’ who survived heart surgery defeats coronavirus

Gambar
A "miracle baby" who contracted the coronavirus in a UK hospital after surviving open-heart surgery has now also survived the deadly bug, according to a report. Erin Bates, who weighed only 5 pounds, 4 ounces after her birth in October, underwent surgery in December for a heart defect before being infected with COVID-19. Harrowing photos showed her tiny body hooked up to a machine supplying oxygen to her at the Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool as she spent two weeks in isolation. "Today, Erin beat Covid-19 and received a guard of honour by the treating team on our HDU as she was moved out of isolation," a hospital spokesman said, the Sun reported. The plucky toddler's mom, Emma, and dad, Wayne, said: "Thank you so much to each and every one of them, we couldn't have got through it without them. "They are all truly amazing and we will be forever grateful," they added. A Mother's Lipomas Might be Her S...

DeWitt column: Don’t take the baby in the liquor store

Gambar
When it comes to drinking alcohol, there are three types of people in this world: those who oppose it, those who are in favor of it, and those who live in the South. Perhaps no other region has quite as complicated and convoluted a relationship with alcohol as we do in the South. "Up north" and "out west," where folks are busy legalizing marijuana, Lucifer's Lettuce, one can cruise up to a drive-through liquor store and never put their car in park, or even nonchalantly walk into a gas station, grocery store or Walmart 24 hours a day, and quench that unholy thirst for the devil's brew with no guilt. Can you imagine buying your edible underwear, baby formula, gasoline and Jack Daniels in the same store? Here in the Bible Belt, where we have more than a hundred churches per county and Blue Laws and the big Red Dot on the brick storefront like a neon, scarlet letter of 90-proof sin, buying hard liquor is restricted to the hours of 9 a.m. to 7 p.m....

How to Dress Baby for Sleep

Gambar
How should you dress your baby for sleep? While it sounds like a simple question, any new parent knows that even the most mundane infant inquiries come with potentially scary consequences to weigh. (Who among us hasn't painstakingly googled every hard-to-pronounce ingredient listed in every diaper cream on the market?)Something as banal as selecting a pair of PJs for your pint-size peanut can feel like a daunting decision when you're a newly minted and utterly exhausted parent. Fortunately, we're here to help take the stress out of this process with some practical tips and basic guidelines. Wishing you and your baby a comfy and safe night of uninterrupted slumber — you've got this. Perhaps you've heard about the general rule of thumb for dressing your baby for sleep: Put them in one additional layer than you would wear at night. This makes sense, as a baby should not sleep with a loose sheet or blanket. Generally speaking, a two-piece cotton PJ set or footed onesie ...

Meghan Harry and baby Archie wish Queen happy birthday from LA via video chat

Gambar
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's baby boy Archie joined in with a video call to his great-mother the Queen on her 94th birthday. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are thousands of miles away living in Los Angeles after quitting as senior members of the royal family earlier this year. After initially moving to a rented home in Vancouver, Canada, they flew to California last month to settle down as a family. Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, who turns one in a fortnight, was with his mum and dad as they delivered their birthday wishes to the Queen, who is marking the occasion at Windsor Castle away from her family while Britain is on lockdown. The trio called later in the afternoon due to the eight hour time difference between the UK and the west coast of America. The Queen is with her husband of 72 years, Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh, at Windsor with a reduced household for their protection. Like the rest of the nation, the royals are staying away from one another as the...

Trusting parrot loves to cuddle with his owner Parrots are very social creatures. In the wild, they live in flocks; in captivity, they like to cuddle and be spoken to by their human companions. Not all parrots like to cuddle and it isn't so much about training than it is about you being in tune with your bird and learn to work with its personality. A parrot's comfort level with people can vary greatly. Some just like their personal space. If your bird doesn't like to be touched, you will need to learn how to approach it in order to make it comfortable. Short, frequent sessions are best and don't overdo it if your bird gets tired. You can always try again another day. Einstein the Talking Texan Parrot is a silly, smart, and popular parrot who loves to talk and entertain! Mom saves toddler from crocodile by sticking fingers up reptile’s nose

Gambar
Note to the wise: If you're ever attacked by a crocodile — stick your fingers up its nose. A mother in Zimbabwe rescued her toddler from a killer croc this week by jamming her fingers up the reptile's nose. Maurina Musisinyana, 30, had left her two children playing under an umbrella on the bank of the Runde River while she went fishing nearby when she heard a scream and saw her son Gideon being dragged away by the huge reptile. Musisinyana jumped on the beast and used her fingers to block its nose, forcing it to release its grip on the boy, according to the Mirror. During the encounter, she was bitten on the hand. "I pressed its nose hard, a tip I learnt from the elders long back, Musisinyana, from Chihosi village, told the paper. "If you suffocate a crocodile from its nose, it loses its strength and that is exactly what I did. I used my other arm to free my baby's head from its jaws. Even to this day, I still do not believe I rescued my son....

The Real Talk Version of Your Baby Registry

Gambar
This story was originally published on May 2, 2019 in NYT Parenting. Brand new and expecting parents could not be easier to market to: We're hungry, tired and desperate for our children to be safe, comfortable and, ideally, asleep. Plus, we're often trapped under a baby and looking at our phones, a mere press of the forefinger away from purchasing an idiotic cashmere onesie at any moment. My first time at the baby gear rodeo, I made some rookie mistakes, and ever since then I've been eager to make sure my friends don't replicate my errors. After the birth of my second child in 2018, I even started sending around a document titled "How not to [screw] up your registry," whether the recipient had asked me to or not. This is a version of that document that I have adapted for a broader audience. It has recommendations for the gear I ended up using with both my kids, including items that I think are worth their price tag and others you can buy used, skimp on or skip...

What Quarantine With a Toddler in Jenkintown Taught Me About WWII the Great Depression and Grit

Gambar
Coronavirus I have seen the enemy, and it is Frozen 2. What I've learned during my coronavirus quarantine with a toddler. Photograph by Cavan Images In another life – also known as February – I considered myself a homebody. I enjoyed a good movie night. I could lounge away a Sunday. I longed for a proper snow day. But times, of course, have changed. My family lives in Montgomery County, which has been under "Stay at Home" orders for about three weeks — or approximately seven years, if you happen to share that home with a toddler. We're lucky that my husband is still working full-time. But for at least eight hours a day, that leaves me as the lone parent and playmate to Matilda, who will be three in July. (We're still doing July, right?) To be fair, there have been many joyful days during house arrest, and even moments of personal growth. Over the past couple weeks, I have: Rekindled a love of painting ...

Toddler tortured to death after social workers gave him to two men who knew his mother

Gambar
A toddler was tortured to death after social services sent him to live with two men who knew his mom, as his hospital warned of a coronavirus child abuse boom. Amari Boone was fatally beaten at his home in Fort Worth, Texas, on Good Friday. He had every one of his fingers snapped, both arms as well as multiple ribs broken, and suffered such severe head trauma he was left brain-dead, with his life support machine switched off on Easter Sunday. The toddler's death is being treated as a murder, with social workers saying he was in state custody and being looked after by two male family friends at the time of his death. Fort Worth Police are continuing to investigate Amari's death, and have yet to make any arrests or name possible suspects. It came as staff at the Cook Children's Medical Center said three patients have died of child abuse injuries since March 17, with the hospital usually seeing an average of six child abuse deaths a year.
